Remember when you were a kid and you decided to go in the back yard and dig a really deep hole? Secretly, you planned on going all the way to China, but you didn't want to tell your parents, because you just knew you'd get in trouble. I never made it to China. Somehow I got misrouted near the core and ended up in some crazy place called "Perth". There were all these magical animals with pouches and the natives spoke some strange language. It was like my own personal trip through the Wardrobe. No one ever believes me though, I guess the idea of a place where everything is poisonousness is just too weird.

I bet it's this movie. (BWG, I was thinking about something similar to that. The Atlantic Ocean grows wider by a couple of centimeters per year, at the mid-ocean rift. For cables laying on the bottom, that's not much of a problem, but it would be a major challenge for any kind of tunnel.)

As far as art projects go, this one isn't too annoying. The people who believe it's real will be annoying though. Sort of like all the folks who believe those really close up pictures on google maps are from satellites. (or even worse real-time satellite pictures) As far as annoying art goes I'll bet there is a special place in hell reserved for the improve everywhere folks...
